Licensed since 2019, David brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for education to Ou Salon. A former advanced color and product educator for Davines and brand manager for KEVIN.MURPHY, David’s specialties include blonding, corrective color formulation, precision cutting, and razor cutting. His training spans industry legends such as Gianni Scumacci, Allilon Education, Nick Arrojo, and Candy Shaw’s French hair cutting techniques.

 

Before joining Ou, David worked as Director of Education at SAYN Beauty, training stylists for brands like pH Laboratories, Previa, Sachajuan, GHD, and Mason Pearson. He also developed unbranded cutting and color curriculums to help stylists refine their craft.

 

Outside the salon, David is a bookworm, guitar collector, and CrossFit enthusiast who loves to sing and perform. He’s just as likely to chat about Eastern philosophy as he is to dish on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. With his cat, Pistol, by his side, David brings a down-to-earth approach and plenty of personality to every client and conversation.
